we did a late summer/early fall trip to the beach in september.  it was a little too chilly for getting in the water, but still a great time getting our toes wet and having a bbq.  grandma, grandpa, and aunt jane and uncle jim joined us... there will be a few days of these pictures - we took alot apparently!

we visited ocean city, md recently - same trip we did last year (for JP's work conference)... my mom joined me to help out with the two kiddos, and we were VERY busy having fun, and didn't capture too many pictures.

but i figured i would do a comparison of vera last year and this year - it's fun to see the difference!

we hiked over to the river and found rocks and sticks to throw.  nellie fetched the sticks and tried really hard to fetch the rocks too...

dad worked really hard to get a fire going for us on labor day after it had rained all day...

and, i have a feeling vera will be rolling her eyes at her parents alot as a teenager...



but the hard work payed off, and we had a great fire that night - finley's first fire!
