vera loves her cousin and they always have a blast being silly together. we showed up at the santa brunch to realize that the girls were wearing the same dress.  how funny! that was really not planned at all.  but worked out great, as girls loved being "twins"

we had brunch with santa recently, and according to vera, santa is scary.  he was a very loud and tall santa i suppose :)

so mom and dad jumped in the picture to protect vera from santa.  finley was too young to be scared, and sat in santa's lap no problem.

we went to linvilla to pick out a christmas tree.  we were going to chop down our own, and rode out on the wagon and got a saw, and then didn't really like any of the trees.  alot of them were too brown, and some of them were too small.  i told vera we were buying that teeny tiny one and she felt we needed a bigger christmas tree.   so then we went back to the cut tree lot (still at linvilla) and picked one out there.  and danced in the gazebo.

recently john paul was at work, and vera asked me if daddy was outside making a fire.  apparently daddy makes lots of fires.... these pictures are from a bonfire that he built at grandma's, but somehow the fire didn't actually make it any of the pictures with vera...hmmm

thanksgiving 5k

aunt s and i have done this thanksgiving 5k for five years now.  the past couple years vera joined us, and now this year dad and finley joined us too!  there wasn't much running due to piggy back rides and strollers, but soon enough finley and vera will be beating us the finish line in future races...
