kids say the darndest things

a quick little non-picture post:

last night, vera pointed at mom and dad and said

"you are both mudder-fadders"

excuse me? 

"mudder-fadders!! you are mudder-fadders!"

wow....

"yeah, we learned at school that mommies are mudders and daddies are fadders.  i am a daughter and finley is a son"

ohhhhh mothers and fathers.  phew!

Lights

This is a house near our neighborhood that you can see from I-95. They go above and beyond with the Christmas lights. Vera asked if we could make our house look like this. Uhhhh no. 

Also I wanted to document Vera's Christmas wishes this year. She would like Santa to bring her a towel and blanket. 

Kids these days are awfully demanding. 

snow!!

we've had a few days of snow already this year.  and we built this ugly little snowman on one of the days.  if we considered it would be in all the snow pictures, we might have tried harder, haha

all done, can we go inside?

brunch with santa - family pic and high fives with santa.  maybe next year there will actually be lap sitting?

made a quick stop at marini's this year for the christmas tree.  good thing as the kids' attention spans towards any trees were nil.
