snow day

today was actually the first snow that vera went out in (other than being carried to the car in her carseat in other snow we've gotten so far this year). she reminded me of the little boy in christmas story!

vera started taking swim classes at the Y. we're having fun splashing around

we started some art projects intended to be christmas presents... but we never actually finished them. soon, soon....

we went to nyc right after christmas for a day. somehow vera didn't make it in to very many pictures...

here we are on the brooklyn bridge....

and here we are at the famous grimaldi's pizza. see that long line of people? we got to jump to the front of the line b/c the owners are awesome, and didn't think vera should have to stand outside in the cold. and the pizza was excellent!

for reasons unbeknownst to us, vera and nellie have really hit it off. yes, the same nellie that jumps on our grownup guests just seems to know to be extra sweet and careful with the little one. and vera loooooves pulling on her long fur.

nellie does sneak in a few dog kisses every now and then. (gross!)
